George Robert Nagy

June 1, 1958 - January 12, 2021

George Robert Nagy was born June 1, 1958 in Redwood City, California. He died in Des Moines, Iowa January 12, 2021 at the age of 62. He spent his life working as a “master” plasterer in Southern California until he moved to Iowa in 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elizabeth Nagy, and his brother-in-law, Roger Billings. George is survived by his sister, Judy Billings of Norwalk, Iowa and brother Thomas Nagy (wife Melanie) of San Jose, California. George had five nieces and nephews and nine great nieces and nephews. George was an energetic, caring person who loved life, and had a special place in his heart for the elderly and animals. When asked, “How are you doing, George”, he would most often reply, “Living the dream”. Everyone that was lucky enough to know him has a funny George story, as he was a unique and special character. In his later years George gave his life to Jesus Christ. He will be missed and always remembered by friends and family alike.
